During the main broadcast of the news program of the public television company of Cyprus, reference was made to the first official visit to Cyprus by Tigran Mkrtchyan, the ambassador of Armenia to Greece and Cyprus, as well as his meeting with the chairman of the management and board of directors of this television company.

According to the Facebook page of the Armenian embassy in Greece, in the respective video, it is noted that during the meeting with the chairman of the management and board of directors of this television company, Ambassador Mkrtchyan emphasized that there are long-term close relations between Armenia and Cyprus, and expressed hope that in the near future there will be an opportunity for the opening of diplomatic missions in the capitals of both countries, Yerevan and Nicosia, and based on the principle of reciprocity.

The ambassador added that next year Armenia plans to open a diplomatic office in Cyprus, it will be represented by an Armenian diplomat, and expressed hope that Cyprus also will open a diplomatic office in Armenia in the near future.
