The National Energy and Water Supply Regulation Commission of Georgia has fined the Azerbaijani oil and gas company SOCAR 50,000 GEL ($17,500) for late submission of documents, Novosti-Gruziya reported.
"SOCAR Gas Export-Import failed to comply with the obligations stipulated in the Rules of Energy Market Monitoring and Reporting and did not provide the regulatory commission with information about the activities within the established deadlines," the commission said.
As noted, SOCAR was warned that in case of a repeated violation the company will be fined twice.
