Ishkhan Saghatelyan, ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body representative, MP representing "Armenia" bloc, head of Armenia-Syria Friendship Group, met with Syrian Ambassador to Armenia Nora Arisyan on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current political situation in Syria and Armenia, the economic and demographic challenges facing the Syrian-Armenian community, as well as issues concerning facilitation of Syrian-Armenian visits to Armenia, and other issues, the ARF press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Saghatelyan referred to the historical friendship between the two countries and the presence of external threats against the interests of Armenia and Syria represented by Turkey in the context of current geopolitical developments.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue their cooperation.
