YEREVAN. – Head of the Armenian delegation at “Eurovision” Song Contest Gohar Gasparyan called Azerbaijani side’s statements “hackneyed and out-of-dated”, according to which if Armenian contestant’s song contains even the most insignificant Azerbaijani tunes, Baku will submit a formal complaint to the organizing committee.

“Every year Azerbaijan makes such statements, this sort of statements are quite common. We have immunity to them. Furthermore, they are outdated and we are sick and tired of this kind of statements,” she noted.

Referring to the question whether it may serve as ground for Armenia not to present a song with oriental tunes to avoid unnecessary headaches, Gasparyan said: “Of course, no. Armenia has never taken into account Baku’s stance on Armenian songs at Eurovision Song Contest,” Gasparyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As reported earlier, in an interview with vesti.az, member of Azerbaijani delegation Leyla Guliyeva said if Armenia’s song at Eurovision 2012 contains even insignificant Azerbaijani tunes, Baku will submit a formal complaint to the organizing committee.
