Germany will supply 16 Biber tank bridges to Ukraine, which can be used to build temporary bridges or bridge damaged ones, allowing troops and military equipment to cross gaps or rivers, the country's defense ministry said.
The Bieber systems will enable Ukrainian troops to cross waters or obstacles in combat, the ministry said in a statement.
The first six systems will be delivered this year, starting in the fall, with 10 more next year.
