Latvian energy company Latvijas Gaze currently buys gas from Russia and pays in euros rather than rubles, the Baltic company said on Friday.
Latvijas Gaze declined to name its supplier, citing trade secrets, adding that the company pays in euros, as required by the Latvian legal framework.
Unlike neighboring Lithuania, which has banned Russian gas imports, Latvia will not do so until the end of 2022.
