The Police of Armenia have provided new details about the tragic incident that happened Friday night in the Masis Municipality building.

Accordingly, an armed person broke into the Masis city hall late Friday evening.

Negotiations were held with him, his mother also addressed him through a loudspeaker, but the man did not respond.

The police said that shots were fired during the negotiations.

Subsequently, officers of the special police department entered the Masis Municipality building and found the dead body of Edvard Margaryan, 36, with a gunshot wound in the head. He had committed suicide.

There were no casualties or injuries among the police.
