Speaking with reporters on the 64th anniversary of Armenia’s Kajaran town, its mayor, Manvel Paramazyan, commented on why he had given flowers to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's wife, Anna Hakobyan.

"Any man should not have any questions about any woman. We show our gentlemanly posture; we know how to respect women," said Paramazyan.

And reflecting on his relations with the Armenian government, the mayor of Kajaran said: "Yes, we have been friends with the [Syunik] provincial governor for a long time, and this enables to implement more projects in our community, as you cannot be the head of a community and not have relations with the government."
