During the rally held by the political opposition Resistance Movement on June 3, a number of circumstances of the mass riots at the intersection of Proshyan-Derenik Demirchyan Streets in Yerevan have been ascertained, the actions of the participants have been individualized, and the investigation on one of the accused, G. Sargsyan, has been completed. This was reported to Armenian News-NEWS.am by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Accordingly, the participants of this rally tried to break through the police chain at the aforesaid intersection and hit the police officers with stones, metal rods, hammers, bottles, as well as some other objects.

G. Sargsyan, who also was involved in the aforementioned mass riots, first hit—with his hands—the police officers who formed a barrier, then threw a stone and a bottle at them from a high place.

As a result, a number of police officers were injured.

A criminal charge was filed against G. Sargsyan.

He has been remanded in custody.

The part regarding him has been separated in a separate criminal proceeding, its investigation has been completed, and the materials of this criminal proceeding have sent to the prosecution—and with a petition to confirm the indictment and send it to the court.
