The Federal Security Service has uncovered the murder of Russian journalist Darya Dugina, according to a report by the Russian Federal Security Service's Center for Investigative Reporting.

On Saturday evening, journalist and political analyst Darya Dugina was driving a car which, according to investigative authorities, burned to death on the Mozhaiskoye highway in the Odintsovo district of Moscow Region. According to the preliminary version, an explosive device planted in the car went off.

"It is established that the crime was prepared and committed by the Ukrainian special services. The perpetrator is a Ukrainian citizen Vovk Natalya Pavlovna, born in 1979, who arrived in Russia on July 23, 2022 together with her daughter Shaban Sofia Mikhaylovna, born in 2010. In order to organize the murder of D. Dugina and obtain information about her lifestyle, they rented an apartment in Moscow in the house where the deceased resided," the FSB said in a statement cited by RIA Novosti.

Reportedly, on the day of the murder, Vovk and Shaban were at the literary and musical festival "Tradition," where Dugina was present as a guest of honor. After committing a controlled detonation of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, driven by Dugina, Vovk and her daughter left for Estonia via the Pskov region yesterday.
