We are, in fact, starting an initiative that will give a new substantive impulse to saving the motherland and to the Resistance Movement; we must all engage in that work. Former prime minister and ex-speaker of the parliament, Khosrov Harutyunyan, said this at Tuesday’s symbolic session of the Supreme Council of Armenia—and dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia..
Most likely, we are talking about the Independence Movement, which was created by Edgar Ghazaryan—the former ambassador of Armenia to Poland, former chief of staff of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, and opposition figure.
Harutyunyan noted that the task of achieving Armenia's independence for the second time is at hand today. According to him, everyone's actions should be aimed at this, and at neutralizing the consequences of the actions and inaction of the current authorities.
"That is the task of everyone, any Armenian. Everyone should personally feel their responsibility. The main message is that state independence, territorial integrity, inviolability of our borders and sovereignty are under threat. The base of the declaration of independence is under threat," concluded the ex-PM and parliament former speaker.
