The government of Armenia on Wednesday adopted a decision to increase pensions and benefits as of September 1.

The matter was on the agenda of today's Cabinet meeting of the government, and the latter approved it.

As a result, the average monthly amount of labor pension is expected to increase by around 3,100 drams (approx. $8) or 7.1 percent, and military pension by 5,200 drams (approx. $13) or 6.8 percent.

The amount of benefits in case of old age, disability, and loss of breadwinner will increase, too.
