Money of Oleksandr Yanukovych, the son of former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, in the amount of 304 million hryvnia (about $8.1 million - note Lenta.ru) transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the official Telegram channel of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported. Earlier these funds were seized as part of the criminal case.

"During the pre-trial investigation prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General seized the funds of officials of the "All-Ukrainian Development Bank" and directly the funds of the son of the ex-president. At the moment, 304 million hryvnias are credited to a special account to ensure the defense of Ukraine," the report said.

The Ukrainian Ministry reported that according to their information the only shareholder of this bank since 2011 was the son of Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr. He was arrested in absentia in October 2021. The ex-president's son is suspected together with his father of illegally possessing a complex of facilities at the Mezhyhirya state residence.
