YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: RA Ambassador to the US Lilit Makunts came to Armenia on summer vacation. She was seen in Yerevan cafes in late July-early August. After several days of efforts, they finally confirmed this information from the MFA. "She was in Yerevan during her vacation. She is not currently in Yerevan," they told us.

According to our information, the occasion of [PM] Nikol Pashinyan's teammate-ambassador coming to Yerevan was not so much a vacation, but a tate-a-tete meeting with Nikol Pashinyan and conveying to him some important message, information from the US authorities, which was so confidential that they avoided using other means of communication.

According to our source, before arriving in Armenia, Makunts had quite high-level and suspicious meetings with various representatives of the US authorities, and these meetings were not covered on the embassy's website.
