President Vladimir Putin of Russia and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia will have a telephonic conversation on Monday—on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the friendship treaty between the two countries. Russian presidential press secretary of the Dmitry Peskov told reporters about this, TASS reports.

"Today is a very important day for Russia and Armenia. 25 years ago, a friendship treaty was signed between our countries. And today, at the beginning of the second half of the day, President Putin will have a phone conversation with Pashinyan in this regard," said the representative of the Kremlin.

According to him, the conversation dedicated to this anniversary will also "be a good opportunity to discuss the course of current issues."
