French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said Monday that every company in the country should develop its own energy-saving plan next month amid fears of power shortages and skyrocketing prices due to the situation around Ukraine, Reuters reported.

The state must lead by example, every ministry should finalize a savings plan in September to reduce energy use by at least 10 percent, Born said in a speech at an event hosted by leading business lobbying group Medef.

She added that corporate energy-saving plans will be reviewed in October.
