Russia is ready to continue its advisory and technical assistance in the talks between the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the delimitation of the state border between the two countries and the improvement of stability and security in the border area, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"In accordance with the agreement of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan I.G.Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N.V.Pashinyan and President of the Russian Federation V.V.Putin of November 26, 2021. On August 30 of this year in Moscow there was a meeting of the Bilateral Commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani - Armenian border with the subsequent demarcation with the consultative assistance of Russia. The delegations of the sides were headed by Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia Sh.A.Mustafayev, M.G.Grigoryan and A.L.Overchuk.
The event was preceded by the establishment of the State Commission on Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as holding the first meeting of the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia on May 24 of this year at the border between the two countries.
The Russian delegation expressed its readiness to continue to provide consultative and technical assistance to the Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations in negotiations on the delimitation of the state border between the two countries and to improve stability and security in the border area.
The timing of the new meeting will be additionally agreed upon through diplomatic channels," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
