Gazprom has suspended gas supplies to French company Engie due to non-payment for July deliveries in full. The company said in a statement.
"As of the end of the working day on August 30, OOO Gazprom Export has not received in full payments for gas delivered to Engie (France) in July under the existing contracts. Presidential Decree No. 172 of 31 March 2022 "On Special Procedure for foreign buyers to fulfill obligations to Russian natural gas suppliers" prohibits further deliveries of natural gas to foreign buyers if payment has not been made in full by the buyer within the contractual term.
In this regard, Gazprom Export has notified Engie of the complete suspension of gas supplies starting from September 1, 2022, until full payment for the supplied gas is received," Gazprom's statement reads.
