The inquiries of human rights organizations, diplomatic missions, and mediators continue regarding Consolidation Movement member, public and political figure Avetik Chalabyan of Armenia, his defense team informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The defense team had meetings with human rights organizations working in Armenia with international cooperation, and Chalabyan's wife and attorneys were invited to the US Embassy in Yerevan, where they presented the situation in the case of Chalabyan and the list of violations. No other details of the meeting were disclosed.

Avetik Chalabyan, who has been in prison since May 14, and his wife, Anahit Adamyan, are graduates of the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program of the US Department of State, and Chalabyan has received a master's degree in management from the University of North Carolina.
