Moscow, together with Yerevan and Baku, are focused on fulfilling all provisions of the trilateral agreements reached at the highest level. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, announced this Wednesday at the weekly press briefing.

She stressed that the work within the agreed trilateral formats is substantial.

In this context, she noted the example of the trilateral working group on delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"In general, we see that the activity of the EU in the South Caucasus is conditioned by geopolitical ambitions, and not by a real desire to contribute to the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. They are the Europeans’ fake initiatives, which are more like an attempt to shamelessly usurp the laurels of mediation," Zakharova said, noting that Russia works as a mediator, and that work brings concrete results which are appreciated accordingly by both Armenia and Azerbaijan.
