The Turkish Ministry of National Defense will hand over records of the use of the Greek C-300PMU1 air defense system against Turkish aircrafts, CNN Turk reported.
The Ministry of Defense assured that the Turkish radar system recorded the activation of the Greek C-300 system at the moment when the Turkish Air Force aircraft flew within its range. The relevant records will be forwarded to the NATO General Secretariat and the defense ministries of the alliance member states.
The Turkish military claims that as the F-16 fighters flew over the Rhodes island, the Greek S-300 activated its target tracking and surface-to-air missile guidance system, as well as dropped the lock on the launching mechanism. NATO rules consider such measures as hostile behavior.
