Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said he had conveyed to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov a message from a European leader on the situation around Ukraine. He said this on Wednesday at a press conference following talks with his Russian counterpart, IRNA reported.
According to him, the message from one of the European leaders was given to Lavrov at the request he made to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi: "There were ideas there about helping peace and calm and stopping hostilities, and we discussed these ideas with Mr. Lavrov."
The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry also stated Iran's readiness to assist in resolving the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP. "It is necessary to use all existing possibilities to resolve this conflict, so Iran is ready to provide any assistance to establish calm and peace at the Zaporizhzhia NPP as well as the neighboring territory," Amir Abdollahian said.
