The new building of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Italian Republic was inaugurated in Rome. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who had arrived in Rome on a two-day visit, attended the opening ceremony, APA reports.

The embassy will be located in a building that was built in the 40s of the last century in the quarter of diplomatic missions.

The first and second floors of the building will be used as a center of Azerbaijani culture, and floors 3-5 as an embassy. It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani media reports give almost more space to this center than the visit of the President himself. "The start of the Center of Azerbaijani Culture in Rome will open up great opportunities for the promotion of the rich historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan," reads the Azerbaijani media.

Taking into consideration that Azerbaijan is eager to get its hands on the historical and cultural heritage of the neighbor nations, primarily Armenian, it can be expected that the Center will soon start serving its direct purpose, to try to spread disinformation in the center of Europe, passing off someone else's heritage as its own. Such attempts have already been made.
