The Council of Constitutional Reforms discusses all the opinions and proposals jointly with the Constitutional Reforms Committee. Karen Andreasyan, RA Minister of Justice stated this answering the question of "Armenpress" what is your position on Attorney General Artur Davtyan's proposal regarding the death penalty for high treason and whether the issue will be discussed at the RA Constitutional Reform Council.

"The Council of Constitutional Reforms together with the commission will certainly discuss and pay attention to all opinions and proposals, but no opinion can predetermine the result of the discussions," Andreasyan said.

Armenian Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan suggested creating constitutional-legal grounds for capital punishment for high treason.
