The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, gave his first assessment of the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP after visiting it.
Grossi first of all noted the selfless work of the staff and management.
The members of the mission managed to collect a lot of information in a few hours, Grossi added.
Participants of the IAEA inspection will remain in the city and plan to meet with the residents of Energodar.
A delegation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant on the afternoon of September 1.
The head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Yevhen Balitsky, specified that the IAEA mission would stay in Energodar until September 3. It is planned that the authorities of the region, in addition to the ZNPP, will also show the delegation the shelled civilian infrastructure of the city.
