The newly appointed Ambassador of the Philippines, Igor Bailen—whose respective diplomatic residence is in Moscow—on Friday presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia.

Khachaturyan congratulated the ambassador on assuming this office, and wished him productive work in all his initiatives.

Ambassador Bailen expressed his gratitude for the reception, and noted that he will make maximum efforts to enrich the bilateral agenda.

The sides highlighted that there is a great potential to expand cooperation between Armenia and the Philippines, and that it is necessary to take steps toward promoting bilateral trade and economic ties and intensifying direct contacts between the peoples of the two countries.

Matters related to the deepening of cooperation in advanced technologies, culture, and tourism were also addressed.
