The countries of the European Union (EU) have expanded sanctions against Russia, a document published in the official magazine of the association reported.

According to the statement, the EU imposed personal sanctions against more than a thousand citizens of Russia. Among them were politicians, representatives of mass media and heads of major companies. In particular, Duma members Alla Polyakova and Anton Tkachev and Federation Council member Valery Ponomarev are on the sanctions list.

In addition, the restriction included about 100 Russian organizations. The document stresses that the association will continue to support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and impose measures against individuals and companies for activities directed against Kiev.
