In early August, the Romanian Ministry of Defense sent a request to the country's parliament for preliminary approval to conclude a contract for the purchase of three Bayraktar TB2 complexes, according to the Center for Analysis of the World Arms Trade (TSAMTO).

According to the document, the total cost of the purchase is estimated at $300 million. In addition to the drones, the package will include special training equipment along with an initial logistical support package. Each complex will include six drones, allowing you to hit ground targets.

“In accordance with the provisions of the Government’s Emergency Ordinance, the procurement procedure should begin in 2022. The purchased systems are designed to equip the ground forces of Romania. The purchase should allow fulfilling Romania's obligations to NATO,” TsAMTO reported.
