The main security concern in the South Caucasus is that there are forces that believe that Russia, being a key factor in security, is too busy with the Ukrainian issue, and this can be used to destabilize the situation in the region. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in his address Wednesday at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia.
According to Pashinyan, there are forces that spend a lot of energy to portray Armenia in Russia as a country with a pro-Western leadership, and in Europe—as a country with strong pro-Russian authorities.
"And this is done to justify the destabilization of the situation in the region. I am very happy that we are in close dialogue with our partners on these issues—trying to clarify our positions on all matters of the international agenda," added the Armenian premier.
