Fear of sanctions is not a very useful stance. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this in his address Wednesday at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia—and when asked whether he is afraid of the spread of secondary sanctions by the West due to the intensification of contacts with Russia.

According to Pashinyan, he considers it necessary to find ways to manage possible risks.

"We are concerned about food and energy security issues. There is high inflation in our country as well, which affects the societal situation. But the situation is generally under control. There is a problem, but there is no crisis situation. However, I want to emphasize that this is thanks to the assistance by the Russian Federation," said Pashinyan.

According to him, at the beginning of the year, there were concerns about a number of issues—not only within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, but also in a bilateral format—, but he was impressed by the speed of the Russian side's response to the requests of the Armenian side. Pashinyan said the Armenian-Russian partnership is "very important."
