Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Britain's King Charles III on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

“I wish you courage and resilience in the face of this difficult, irreparable loss. May I ask you to pass on sincere condolences and support to members of the royal family and the entire people of Great Britain.”

Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the country for 70 years, died today at the age of 96. After her death, Prince Charles became king.
