A final procedural act has been drawn up in a proceeding launched in Armenia on the grounds of high treason, and the criminal proceedings against the respective person in custody have been handed over to the court—and with an indictment.

The press center of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am that it was found that an Armenian citizen who was recruited by foreign special services, had transferred military information to them, after which he had written a letter of commitment regarding cooperation with these foreign special services, received a corresponding code name, and a promise of a reward of $500 for each month's collaboration.

After that, this person, being involved in the implementation of combat operations during the 44-day Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war in the fall of 2020, had gone over to the side of the adversary, deliberately fired non-targeted fire from the combat jet system he commanded, and had not hit the adversary's firing targets.

Also, this person had provided additional military information to foreign special services.

Furthermore, this person had promised to provide other military information considered state secret to the aforesaid foreign special services—and in exchange for a reward of $4,000, but could not complete this activity because he was exposed by the officers of the National Security Service of Armenia.
