Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a special representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations Igor Khovaev, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

According to the information, the sides discussed the process of normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, exchanged views on the bilateral agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, the current situation in the region, including various aspects of the normalization process of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, steps taken, work done in the field of confidence building measures, as well as future prospects.

Full implementation of the trilateral statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, as well as the agreements reached in the framework of the normalization process was stressed in order to ensure peace and security in the region.

Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
