Frank Pallone, Co-Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus of the US Congress, has condemned Azerbaijan's military attack on Armenia. Pallone wrote about this on his Twitter account.
“I strongly condemn Azerbaijan’s reckless military attack on southern Armenia. [Azerbaijani president Ilham] Aliyev must end his aggression immediately. The [US] State Dept and Sec[retary of State Antony] Blinken must work with the OSCE Minsk Group to secure peace in the region,” the American lawmaker wrote.
Starting from 12:05am on Tuesday, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces started firing intensively—from artillery and large-caliber firearms—at Armenia’s positions toward Goris, Kapan, Sotk, Jermuk, Artanish, and Ishkhanasar. The adversary is using drones, too. The intense shootout continues as a result of this large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side. The Armenian Armed Forces are retaliating appropriately. The Ministry of Defense informs that the Armenian side has casualties and wounded; the respective data are being verified.
