Major work is being done to ease the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. This was stated Tuesday by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.

"Tonight, the President of the Russian Federation [Vladimir Putin] had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia [Nikol Pashinyan]. In the context of that telephone conversation, intensive work is being done to de-escalate the situation. The Russian president continues to make efforts in that regard," said Peskov.
