The Cypriot Foreign Ministry issued a statement regarding the escalation of tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan after Azerbaijan attacked positions on the territory of Armenia. This was noted on the official website of the Cypriot Foreign Ministry.

"The Cypriot Foreign Ministry expresses deep concern over the escalation of tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan following Azerbaijan's attack on positions on Armenian territory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the attack and calls for compliance with the Ceasefire Statement of November 9, 2020 in order to de-escalate tensions as soon as possible.

The Republic of Cyprus supports the peaceful settlement of disputes based on international law," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
