Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said 50 of its servicemen died as a result of the escalation on the border with Armenia.
"Fifty servicemen were killed, including 42 from the ranks of the armed forces and eight from the State Border Guard Service," the military ministry's press service said in a statement on Tuesday.
