Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, speaking at the online emergency meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), called for a quick resolution—by diplomatic means—of the current situation on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, reports Khovar news agency.

The PM of Tajikistan attended this meeting on behalf of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

Rasulzoda expressed the concern of the Tajik side regarding the escalation of tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He emphasized that now "it is important to prevent the further aggravation of the situation and to return the avenues for resolving the issues to the political and diplomatic track as soon as possible."

Also, the premier of Tajikistan expressed confidence that the only way to ensure peace and stability in the region is the effective use of means of dialogue based on the adopted documents.
