The deliberate shooting at foreign and local mass media performing their professional work in Sotk village of Armenia by the armed forces of Azerbaijan is absolutely unacceptable. This was stated by Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia (MFA)

"We draw the attention of the international community, specialized structures for the protection of human rights and freedom of speech to this attempt to violate the right to receive information, the purpose of which is to prevent the coverage and presentation—to the international community—of the results of Azerbaijani [military] aggression," Hunanyan added on Twitter.

At 12:05am on Tuesday, the Azerbaijani armed forces began intensively shelling—from artillery and large-caliber firearms—the Armenian combat positions in the direction of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk communities. The adversary uses drones, too. The intense skirmish, which started as a result of this large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side, continues. The armed forces of Armenia are giving a proper response. At the moment, the Armenian side has 105 casualties and more than 100 wounded, including 6 civilians.
