Armenian Armed Forces have regained control over 6 previously lost positions on the border, said Andranik Kocharyan, head of the parliamentary standing committee on defense and security issues on Friday.

According to the MP, any part of Armenian territory is of strategic importance. Azerbaijan, on the other hand, is trying to improve its positions before the border demarcation process begins.

"There are positions that have been returned under our control as a result of the actions of the Armed Forces. We are talking about six positions. I am not announcing the full list. Perhaps this figure will change again," the MP said.
