Ankara provokes Baku for war against Armenia on behalf of Israel, former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak-Ain told ILNA in an interview.

According to him, Turkey played the biggest role in unleashing a new wave of deadly border clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia and openly declared that it would support Baku in the conflict. He said Ankara's position is tantamount to blatant interference in Armenia's affairs. The diplomat thinks that Ankara's provocative actions were taken under the leadership of Tel Aviv, which cannot interfere in the situation directly.  The reason for this policy is also crystal clear, he explained.

The more tensions in the Caucasus and the region as a whole, the easier it is for the regime (Israel) to sell its weapons to Azerbaijan, IFP reported.

At the same time, he added, both Israel and Turkey are secretly seeking to normalize relations with Armenia, which shows their hypocrisy.
