It’s not that Azerbaijan has reached nearby Jermuk city of Armenia with its entire front, but a group, cut off from its units, is located on the top of that hill. Edvard Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, stated about this at a press conference Friday in Jermuk.

"From the point of view of viability, if there will be no nutrition for that group—either with food or water—whether it is a special unit, their resources will be completely exhausted within a few days and they will have to get out of there. That group is surrounded in the flanks by our units.

That is, the tactical situation is stable, and as a result of our skillful actions, that group will leave from there. We will not allow their viability to be ensured, there will be no movement of cars to our territory. That group will withdraw, join their main units, which are located 7-8-10 kilometers away from Jermuk," Asryan said, adding that the aforesaid detachment could comprise 10 to 12 people, not more.

To note, the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Armenia are now in Jermuk to learn about the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani military aggression.
