Today, in the northern part of Jermuk city, it was observed that a 50-60 member group from Azerbaijan retreated to the state border. Edvard Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, stated about this at a press conference Friday in Jermuk.

"There is nothing to be afraid of, to despair. Our armed forces have surrounded their detachments, groups, and the situation is under our control.

There is no concern that the Azerbaijani forces will try to advance in the coming days. Our units are positioned, have occupied their positions, bases. Azerbaijani forces cannot take a single step from the top of that penetration in our direction.

Our forces are sufficient, and we will push the adversary back in this direction, causing [them] losses if they try to start their offensive again," he said.

Asryan dismissed the reports that the Armenian side has missing army units and battalions.

The heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Armenia are now in Jermuk to learn about the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani military aggression.
