Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that he was generally concerned about the worsening situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, RIA Novosti reported.
"Of course, today we are all very concerned about the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, we've talked about it already," Putin said.
He noted that through coordinated efforts, "the escalation has been stopped," but the situation is still tense.
