The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry condemned the statements by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made in Yerevan.

Pelosi's baseless and unfair accusations against Azerbaijan are unacceptable, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, adding that they are a serious blow to efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Such unilateral steps and baseless statements serve not to strengthen the fragile peace in the region, but on the contrary, escalate it, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
