The Islamic Republic daily wrote that it is in the interest of the statesmen of Baku “not to play with fire" so that they can make use of relations with Iran—as before.

In its editorial, the newspaper reflected on the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and warned the leadership of Azerbaijan "not to play with fire."

In the article, emphasizing Iran's military power, the author writes: "If Iranian officials have expressed their position on some border movements with admonitions, this does not mean that they will not use military force to counter potential threats."

They prefer to solve problems diplomatically so that there is no need to use military force. However, the neighbors should not abuse Iran's patience and take any step against the country's national security."

"If the authorities of Baku resort to such a step, the authorities of Iran will put aside the admonitions and will prevent with military force the evil intentions of neighboring countries some leaders, who do not even enjoy prestige among their own people," the columnist wrote.

The newspaper adds that "what the high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have announced regarding the issues related to the Iran-Armenia border is a clear policy implemented by the Foreign Ministry. The purpose of negotiations conducted by Iranian diplomats with their counterparts in Baku is to prevent the conspiratorial plan to occupy Iran-Armenia border regions and cut communication between the two countries.

"Baku officials should not think that they can occupy Iranian officials with empty statements and carry out the conspiratorial plan to occupy the border regions and push Iran to take concrete actions. They should know that the language of our diplomacy has a powerful military support that can act at any time and stop any conspiracy," the article says.
