Copper prices are rising on Tuesday, investors are optimistic about the prospects for demand as China began easing quarantine restrictions, trading data show.
December copper futures on the Comex exchange rose 0.39% to $3.5395 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).
At Monday's close of trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months decreased by 0.11% to $7,753.5, aluminum - 1.14%, to $2,251 and zinc - 0.41%, to $3,140.5.
