Britain intends to allocate at least 2.3 billion pounds sterling (about $2.6 billion) as military aid to Ukraine next year, the Financial Times writes.
According to the newspaper, Liz Truss will unveil London's plans this week during her first trip abroad as prime minister of Great Britain. She is expected to arrive in New York on Tuesday to announce her intention to continue supporting Ukraine in the long term.
Truss' visit program also includes bilateral talks with U.S. President Joe Biden and a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Earlier, the British authorities reported that since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the country has allocated to Kiev 2.3 billion pounds sterling. And in August, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which included missile systems, over 800 Black Hornet micro drones and two thousand other drones.
