U.S. PepsiCo Inc. is completely halting production of Pepsi, 7UP and Mountain Dew beverages in Russia, Reuters reported, citing a company letter.

PepsiCo Inc has stopped production of Pepsi, 7UP and Mountain Dew in Russia nearly six months after the U.S. company said it had suspended sales and production," the publication said.

Earlier, Reuters reporters visited dozens of supermarkets, retail stores and gyms in and around Moscow and found cans and bottles of Pepsi with production dates in July and August (the last one was August 17) at Russian plants.

In a statement to the agency, the American company also explained that it had stopped local production of concentrates for PepsiCola, Mirinda, 7up and Mountain Dew.
