YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on Tuesday had a meeting with Minister of External Affairs of Sri Lanka Ali Sabry on the margins of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects of the development of relations between the two countries in a number of domains, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
During the meeting, matters related to the regional and international agenda were discussed.
Mirzoyan briefed Sabry on the situation resulting from the military aggression of Azerbaijan against the territorial integrity of Armenia, strongly condemning the targeting of civilian population and infrastructure and gross violations of international law. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's maximalist and non-constructive stance greatly undermines regional stability and security.
